About us.

We believe in rehabilitation that empowers you. Here is how we work, where we work, and the team behind it.

Our Approach.

Person Centred

No two clients are the same, so our input always starts with an assessment where we get to know you or your child and what is important to you. Goals are focused on the activities that are most meaningful to you, and all of our therapy is tailored to build the movement skills that help achieve them.

Evidence Based Practice

Our approaches are grounded in up-to-date neurological research and evidence. Our therapy team attend ongoing training in their areas of specialist interest and hold regular client discussions, and our clinic environment lends itself to collaboration so colleagues can join sessions to problem-solve together.

Collaborative Care

We work alongside families, education settings, leisure providers, care companies and Case Managers. All of the team live locally and bring knowledge of the services and activities available. We regularly collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Speech Therapists, and have good links with NHS services in the area.

Focus on Function

Therapy sessions don’t just happen when the physiotherapist is with you. Evidence shows repetition of skills is vital to make positive change, so we work with you on manageable, achievable activities to practise outside of sessions, and may recommend equipment to use at home to complement your therapy.

Our Clinic

A Purpose-Built Space for Recovery.

Our specialist rehabilitation clinic opened in June 2023 and was designed to be an accessible and welcoming space for people in our community with neurological, long-term and complex conditions. We recognised the need for a space that would encourage building relationships, offer a safe place to exercise, and have the equipment to support people with a wide range of disabilities.

The clinic is level access with parking directly outside. There are ceiling track hoists in the gym space and in the disabled toilet, and treatment can take place in the open-plan clinic/gym or in a private treatment room. Coming to the clinic can be a significant milestone on the journey to recovery and independence.

We are commissioned to provide input for children and adults through EHCP provision, Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire NHS ICB.
