Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Get Ahead Physiotherapy collects through this website, how it’s used, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Last updated: July 2026

Who we are

This website is operated by Get Ahead Neuro Physiotherapy Ltd, trading as Get Ahead Physiotherapy, a specialist neurological physiotherapy clinic based at Unit A10 Elmbridge Court, Cheltenham Road East, Gloucester GL3 1JZ. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect, and why

This site collects personal information only when you choose to submit it, through two forms:

  • The contact form (on the Contact page) asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), who the enquiry is about, your preferred contact method, and your message.
  • The referral form(on the Case Managers page) asks for your name, organisation, email address, phone number (optional), the client’s age group, a summary of their needs, funding information (optional), and your preferred contact method.

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry or referral, discuss your (or your client’s) needs, and arrange an assessment or appointment if appropriate. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Both forms include a legal basis of consent: you confirm this by ticking the consent checkbox before submitting. Both forms also include a hidden “honeypot” field that is invisible to real visitors and used only to filter out automated spam submissions; it does not collect information about you.

How your information is handled (not stored on this website)

When you submit the contact or referral form, your details are sent as an email directly to our clinic team. This website does not have a database, and your submission is not stored on this website. Once the email has been sent, the only copy of what you submitted lives in our clinic’s email inbox, which is handled in line with our normal clinical record-keeping practices.

To send that email, we use Resend, a transactional email delivery service, as our data processor. Resend processes the content of your submission only for the purpose of delivering it to our clinic email address, and does not use it for any other purpose.

As a basic anti-spam measure, we briefly note the IP address of form submissions in server memory to detect an unusually high number of submissions from the same source in a short period. This is not written to a database or shared with anyone, and is cleared automatically.

Third-party content on this site

A few parts of this website draw on services provided by other companies:

  • Google Reviews. Where available, we display a small number of genuine reviews left by clients on our Google Business Profile. These are retrieved by our website server and shown as static text. We do not embed a live Google widget on the page, so visiting this site does not, by itself, share your data with Google through this feature.
  • Google Fonts.This site loads its typefaces (Lexend and DM Sans) from Google Fonts. Loading a font this way involves your browser making a request to Google’s servers, which may log standard technical information such as your IP address, in line with Google’s own privacy policy.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or personalisation cookies, and we do not build a profile of you or track you across other websites. That is also why you are not asked to accept or reject cookies when you arrive: there is nothing to consent to, and we would rather not put a banner in your way for the sake of it.

The third-party services described above may set cookies of their own as part of how they operate, which we do not control. Google Fonts is the only one that loads on an ordinary page visit; YouTube applies only once you press play on a video, as described below.

Videos on this site are embedded from YouTube but are not loaded until you press play. Until then, nothing is requested from YouTube and no YouTube cookies are set. Once you play a video, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies; we use their no-cookie player to limit tracking.

How long we keep your information

Once a form submission has been emailed to our clinic, it is retained only within our clinic email system and handled in line with our standard record-keeping practices for enquiries and clinical records. We do not keep a separate copy on this website, as none exists.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy of it (right of access);
  • Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete (right to rectification);
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it (right to erasure);
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we are relying on consent to process your information;
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information in certain circumstances.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent regulator for data protection.
